This post will share how to care for beaded jewelry.
Store in a safe place.
Jane + July beaded jewelry is made of the best materials and when protected, it should stay in great condition for a very long time. Beaded jewelry is made with thread and just like clothing it can become wrinkled or misshapen if stored incorrectly. To store beaded jewelry, lay flat in a jewelry box or container.
Avoid bending.
Beaded jewelry often feels bendy but repeated bending can damage your jewelry permanently. Bending can also cause surface finishes to peel off or crack.
Keep your jewelry dry.
Do not wear your beaded jewelry while swimming or showering. Do not submerge in water.
Avoid solvents.
On occasion the woven portions of your beaded jewelry is treated with a varnish. This varnish keeps the woven parts stable and flat. To maintain the structure, stability and finish of your beaded jewelry, do not wear beaded jewelry while applying hairspray, perfume, sunscreen, hand lotion, or nail polish remover (acetone). Allow them to dry first. These products can affect the finish and degrade the thread used to hold it all together.
Cleaning is easy.
Before cleaning, inspect your jewelry to make sure it's in good condition. To clean your jewelry you can use a mild soap or cleanser and lightly wipe the surface with a soft cloth or microfiber towel.
